| Jesse is a junior at Calais High School in Calais, Maine. He has recently joined YEPP and looks forward to being a part of the team for years to come. Jesse is heavily involved in athletics, but takes pride in his leadership experience. He is captain of two varsity sports, president of the Teen Advocacy Group and is a Peer Mediation Instructor. Nick has been on the YEPP team for around three years. He is from the city of Old Town and is currently a senior at Old Town High School. Nick will be attending the University of Maine at Orono in the fall. Nick’s favorite hobby is dominating in paintball. Stasia is a high school junior who attends the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone, Maine but her hometown is Liberty, Maine. She has been with the Youth Empowerment and Policy Project for three years. Stasia is an avid comic book reader and writer. Ellen is a prevention specialist and former member who uses her creative writing degree to support the language and people of YEPP’s message. She believes that encouraging youth sobriety is a cause that ripples out to benefit the entire community. Kristin is from Madison and is a sophomore at Madison High School. She is involved in Hardy Girls Healthy Women, an organization in Waterville that helps young women build self esteem, the Maine Youth Action Network (MYAN), and recently joined YEPP to broaden her knowledge of substance abuse and how she can reach youth to better their lifestyle choices. Kristin loves music, is class president, and is actively involved in her community. Kayla is a freshman at Colby College in Waterville. She is a part of Maine Aspirations that gives free tours and mentoring to Maine students from low socio-economic areas. She has been a member of YEPP for a little over a year and has found it an immensely rewarding experience. |
